Book Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

OMG!! I totally loved this book!

This is also the first book in 'THE LUNAR CHRONICLES'  series.

CINDER. Now this isnt exactly like the cinderella story, but the story structure is quite similar and also similar events and characters too. But the story is STILL very different.

First thing, this book is kind of a futuristic, dystopian, sci-fi, fantasy book.The main character Cinder is a 'cyborg' which means she is half human and half parts machine or metal, yeah! Also she has a memory chip installed in her and other things as well, Basically like a human computer. Four world wars have happened. The book also talks about life on Moon or Luna and the lunar queen Queen Levana.

The book is set up in New Beijing and Cinder is one of the best and advanced mechanic, but because she is a cyborg people look down upon her,which I dont know why! :( So, there's also a prince KAI, who is so cute, I loved him :D, who comes for the repair his android to Cinder, AND thats where the plot starts. 

There's a plagues called 'letumosis' ravishing people, where people die in almost a week or two, and there is no cure to it yet.

Characters - The best parr about the book is that we get to read from the point of view of Cinder as a common person and also the government(prince Kai).

It was amazing to read feom Cinders point of view, because of her being a Cyborg and what she felt and how she was treated. Also there were things which were very emotional because she was a cyborg.

iko is SO cute! I hate what happened to her in the story because she is simply amazing!

There is also Cinders stepmom who initially I thought wasn't that evil but later on WHOA!

Cinder has 2 step-sisters 1 evil but the other 1 was adorable, but she gets letumosis ):

Writing style is excellent. It wasn't an info overload. The writer has buit the environment around us very nicely such that it grips the reader.

Overall, this is a MUST READ even if you do not read sci-fi or fantasy , i am sure you will love it.

Book Review: World's Best Boyfriend by Durjoy Datta

So, this is the 3rd Durjoy Datta book that I have read and I will read the other books as well, I promise. :) Also, I love his book titles absolutely <3 data-blogger-escaped-nbsp="" data-blogger-escaped-p="">
Now I know I am not the first one to write the review for this book, but hey, better late than never. ;)

Also this is my first ever book review! :| *-*

I was hooked to the book and completed it in a day, and the time when I wasn't reading it I was thinking what was going to happen. I litrelly flipped through the pages and loved it.

The story revolves around the two main characters Dhruv and Ananya, who fall in love in school but end up hating each other so much so that they enjoy seeing the other in trouble, due to some things that happened in school.

They drift away from each other but somehow end up in the same college AND in the same class, and thats where the journey starts. Aranya is bold, sharp and intelligent while Dhruv is notorious yet charming.  They are at each others throats and do not miss any slightest chance they get.

what happens next? Do they end up together or not? worst boyfriend? Best Boyfriend? Read the book to find out.....I promise you will love it.

The books also puts light on 'Vitiligo' or 'safedi' or 'fulwari', a disease with no certain cause. It causes the skin pigment cells to die resulting in patchy, sensitive skin. and how people (in REAL) react to it.

The book overall was filled with twists and turns, it was humourous, drama, romance,hatred, love and friendship. a perfect whirlwind ride.

My favorite character in the book is Dhruv's only friend Sanchit-He is funny, sarcastic and really insane.
And i also liked Raghuvir ;) although yes I know he was a playboy :(
